Inferno: Onitsha Market Razed By Mysterious Fire =N=30m Worth Of Goods Lost.

A mysterious fire yesterday destroyed goods worth more than N30 million in Car Paints Market in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Although no life was lost, two three-storey buildings beside the shops were partially affected and were saved by the prompt arrival of men of the fire service.
The cause of the fire, could not be ascertained but the fire started in a car paints shop at about 2.30p.m before it spread to other shops, destroying car paints, building materials, glass and aluminum shops.
The Chairman of Car Paints Dealers Association, Mr. Samuel Anike told Daily Sun that the fire was a ā€œmysterious oneā€ which started in the car paints warehouse under lock, adding that there was no electricity for the past three days in the area.
He also stated that another fire incident occurred in a shop beside market the previous day owned by the same person affect in the recent fire, describing the incident as devilish because according to him no one could trace the cause of the fire.
