The great Ile-Ife will be having a new king in the next 42 days, following the passing away of Oba Okunade Sijuade, the kingmakers have said. GEISI ruling house produces the next Ooni of Ife.
Obalufe of Iremo quarters Ile -Ife Chief Folurunsho Omisakin a King maker said at a conference at Oonis Palace , that in line with the custom and traditions, the new Ooni of Ife will emerge in 42 days.
It is the turn of Geisi ruling house to present a credible candidate for the vacant stool, which was confirmed by the 1980 Ife Chieftancy declaration section 19 sub sectionA (3) which was used to enthrone Oba Okunade Sijuwade.
Other ruling houses in Ile-Ife are Osinkola, Ogboru, Lafogido respectively.
