DVC UniZik Speaks At Unilag’s 10th Research Conference And Fair 2015

The University of Lagos (Unilag) will be celebrating a decade of academic excellence in the connection of researchers and research results with industries through the 10th Unilag Annual Research Conference & Fair (An International Conference of the Sciences and Humanities).

The theme is “Implementing New Research Strategies for National Transformation.”
The event scheduled from November 24 to 26, 2015, by 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily at the University of Lagos Multipurpose Halls, Akoka, Lagos.

Chairman, Conference Planning Committee, professor of pharmacognosy and Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Olukemi A. Odukoya, in a statement, said the Research Conference and Fair event remains the mechanism by which the University promotes scholarship and innovation. It provides a platform for beneficial interactions and fruitful collaborations among the stakeholders in the education and research sector, industry and the general public.

The keynote address will be delivered by the Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Kenyatta University, Kenya, Prof. Christopher Allan Shisanya.

Plenary Speakers are: Prof. Charles O. Esimone – DVC (Academics & Research) Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, Anambra State; Prof. G.O.G. Awosanya, Provost of Lagos State University College of Medicine, Lagos; Engr. Dr. Emmanuel M. Adigio, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Deputy Director Technical, Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State; Prof. Ayo V. Atsenuwa, Head, Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos; and Dr. Gbolahan Gbadamosi, Business School, Bournemouth University, United Kingdom (UK).

About 620 Participants are expected at the conference from all over the nation’s tertiary institution and abroad. Oral and Poster presentations are expected on Implementing New Research Strategies for National Transformation in the Humanities and Sciences.
